The North West Sustainability Network

The North West Sustainability Network

Right after the NorthWest conference last week, we have exciting news for the next generation. Join a network of students and young adults who want to change the world!

We are now recruiting! More information further down.

The purpose of The North West Sustainability Network is to contribute so that future leaders and decision makers have competence and network to take the right choices for a sustainable future. We shall strengthen both the region, businesses and student environment. Participants will get knowledge, new relations and a sosial arena. The network will also work together with United Cities and similar networks globally.

The network is administrated by a steering committee that consists of one representative from the student organizations from the different fields of study at NTNU in Ålesund, the International Student Union (ISU), the Student Parliament (SPÅ) and Næringslivsutvalget (NLU).

The activity is divided into two parts; Open professional events that are available for everyone, and closed events for the network. The closed events include workshops, seminars, network events and social events.

"The only qualifications we demand from people who want to join is this; You must tell us how you want to change the world! Then we will help you achieve just that" - Gjermund Kvernmo Langset, CEO The North West.

The network is free of charge, there are no knowledge criteria and it is open to any field of study or work. But you must be committed to participate, share, discuss and learn. Those who are admitted into the network will join the program for one year of study. All attendees will get a certificate for their efforts. After a person is finished in the network, they will join an alumni group.
